What does it mean to be a disciple of Jesus?
It Begins With Belief
In the Bible faith/belief means much more than intellectually knowing God’s ways. It means learning about who God is and what he is like; holy, gracious, merciful and just. Once we learn what he has revealed about himself, we have to decide if we will place our trust in him.

Belief Leads to Repentance
We have all fallen short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23). Your sins have destroyed your relationship with God. So, you must choose, in mind and will, to turn from those things that displease God, and turn to those things that honor Him.

Baptism Starts a New Life
Baptism is not just a symbol, it’s a washing away of your sins as you start your new life with God.

Jesus taught that during baptism a person dies to sin and self. During baptism is when someone is added to Christ. It is when God does a work in a person’s life that no one can see, when he forgives their sins and gives them His Spirit.

Follow Jesus as His Disciple
The true joy of being a Christian comes during your daily walk as his disciple. Once our relationship with God is restored through Christ, we are told we have been created in Him for good works. Following Jesus leads to a life of continual growth and service. Over time you will become more and more like him, as you try to serve others with the good news of the grace and mercy we have in Jesus.
